Monitor e temperatura e umidade com Ethernet Shield, mais acionamento remoto de PC

Boa noite,

Criei um servidor Web onde é exibida na página informações de temperatura e umidade, além disso é possivel ligar e desligar um PC remotamente. O sistema também exibe as informações de temperatura e umidade em um LCD 16x2 via I2C.

O sensor de temperatura usado foi o DHT22 e o LCD é um LCM1602 da YwRobot (bibliotecas em anexo).

Para ligar o computador remotamente, usei um transistor Mosfet tipo N FQP30N06L, ligando o pino 7 do Arduino na porta Gate. Coloquei um diagrama esquemático do projeto.

Rodrigo Moraes sera que teria algum jeito de eu fazer esse mesmo projeto para acionamento remoto via PC porem sem usar o Ethernet Shield somente com um PC conectado a internet?

Fredman, voce pode fazer isso sim, através do acionamento via porta serial. Neste caso haveria a necessidade de deixar o arduino conectado via USB a um PC ligado o dia todo. Neste PC uma aplicação enviaria e receberia informações do arduino, assim como o Serial Monitor faz. Essa aplicação pode ser desenvolvida em Java, no link http://arduino.cc/playground/Interfacing/Java há maiores informações.

O núcleo do código para ligar e desligar a máquina é este:
